The bell tower of the church of San Sebastiano stands over the village and in the historic center you can find local handcraft and sportswear shops , pubs, wine bars, quality restaurants, restored antique palaces, art centers and the splendid Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, guided tours take you through the Palace, the museum-gallery and the prisons of the nineteenth century.

The attachment of the population of the Valle di Fiemme to its territory and its deep-rooted self-government have in fact an authoritative foundation in the "Magnifica Comunità of the Val di Fiemme", an institution that dates back to the twelfth century, to which the bishop of Trento recognizes as a self administrative autonomy.

The Magnifica Comunità remains an institution which still operates today in the management of the immense forest heritage of the valley, important not only for the correct exploitation of the territory, but also for the maintenance of the historical, social and cultural identity of the valley.

Active vacation

An ice palace where you can skate even in the summer, a swimming pool with indoor and outdoor hydro massage recently renovated, tennis courts and parks where you can walk quietly after dinner.

The Alpe Cermis facilities that start directly from the village and those of the Latemar Ski Center allow you to easily reach the high-altitude peaks and then descend on skis in winter or go hiking in the summer; in both cases you will enjoy a breathtaking view.

On the Lavazé pass and the Oclini pass, at 1800 meters, cross-country skiing has a particular taste, surrounded by unspoiled nature and protected by the majestic Latemar group, Dolomites. At the bottom of the valley you can enjoy the famous Marcialonga track and the stadium that hosted the world championships three times.

Trekking, hiking, hiking trails, alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering, snowshoeing, mountain bike and road bike, steps for motorcycle lovers, rafting in the Avisio stream, golf, paragliding and many more activities. All this in the magnificent territory of the Valle di Fiemme and the Dolomites, Unesco Heritage.
